The completely surreal decor - a tribute to the Paul Delvaux Foundation, guest of honor - gives the measure of this 69th edition, with a warm and energetic atmosphere, to be visited happily until February 4.
Under the direction of Harold t'Kint de Roodenbeke (a sold Poliakoff), Brafa in Brussels intends to establish itself as a major art and antiques fair, smaller in size than the unrivaled Tefaf Maastricht, which will open at the beginning of March, but at a higher level than Fab Paris, an alliance of the Fine Arts fair and the former Biennale des Antiquaires, having struggled to convince, due to a lack of international clients, last November in Paris.
Some 9,000 people crowded into buildings 3 and 4 of Brussels Expo (one downside: the always unwelcoming arrival, with its huge empty hall before the entrance!) for the ultra-VIP opening, followed by its gala dinner very popular in the colors of Delvaux (1850 people).
