A pregnant woman
disappeared hours after being admitted to have her baby
at the Evita Hospital in Berazategui.
Jesica Cuevas (31) was last seen this Monday, when she went shopping and never returned, her mother confirmed to
Clarín
.
Jesica was hours away from having the baby she is expecting.
Before heading to the hospital, her partner took her to her mother's house and promised her that she would return at 9:30 so they could
go together to do the procedures for hospitalization
.
“He had some tea and went to lie down.
Then she remembered that one of her two girls, the one who is nine years old, was missing medication and she wanted to buy it at that moment because she was going to be hospitalized in a few hours.
She told me 'Mom, let me go, don't worry, I'll go', so she repeated to me for a long time.
Then she told me to stay calm and she left around 9:15.
She left my house, turned the corner and I didn't see her again
,” says Margarita, her mother, distressed.
Jesica was going through a 39-week pregnancy and was heading to a pharmacy on streets 121 and 12, also in Berazategui.
According to her mother, the police consulted the pharmacy, the health centers and the hospital, but no one saw her.
“She was swallowed by the earth
,” she remarked.
At the time of her disappearance, the woman was wearing black pants and a white t-shirt.
“She didn't leave by car, she just walked.
We went around everything and they told us that she is not there, that
no one saw her
,” she stated.
Jesica Cuevas, in the poster that her relatives are circulating.
For the family, her disappearance is a big question: she was having a
happy pregnancy
, with a couple who, according to the family, they only saw a few times and “didn't know him very well.”
Jesica had lived with her mother and her two daughters all her life, but only in April did she begin to live with the father of the baby she is expecting.
The family members asked anyone who may have any type of information about Jesica to call 11-5919-6049.
