The Italian Davis Cup national team, captained by Filippo Volandri, has arrived at the Quirinale for the meeting with the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, scheduled for 4pm. The team, fresh from the success in Malaga, made its entrance from side entrance with a black van.

Malagó, it's time to dispel medal taboos at the Games
"It's been 100 years since we won a medal in tennis at the Games, it's time to dispel this taboo."
The president of CONI, Giovanni Malagó, said this as he entered the Quirinale for the meeting between Davis' Azzurri and the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
"We really appreciated that Sinner wants to participate in the Olympics. But he is not the only one, the others also want to", he added.
Then speaking about what is special about this national team, he explained: "The special thing about them is that they are a team. Otherwise they wouldn't have won. Sinner then closed the circle of a journey that starts from afar. The coaches and federation were also good at giving us these satisfactions".
