The victim was restrained with zip ties in an unhealthy space and suffered a miscarriage as a result of the beatings.

He tied her with zip ties, put her in a cellar and kept her for hours in a space full of garbage, without light and with humidity.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in Pezuela de las Torres (Madrid) for subjecting his partner to the worst of physical and psychological torture.

The victim, 38 years old, was kidnapped, raped and beaten until she managed to escape and report it to the Civil Guard in a nearby town.

His body was full of bumps, bruises, and marks from the bridles on his wrists.

During the examination at the hospital it was even discovered that he had suffered an abortion as a result of being beaten by his partner.

It all started on Friday, January 26, when a woman showed up at the Villalbilla Civil Guard barracks in terrible conditions to report that she had been held by her partner.

Following the protocol for sexual assaults and given the condition of the victim, the agents transferred her to the nearest hospital for a medical examination, while at the same time bringing the case to the attention of the judicial police, specialists in sexual violence.

The investigators interviewed her at the hospital and that is where she recounted her ordeal.

In an obvious state of nerves, she said that her boyfriend had tied her up with plastic ties, put her in the basement of her house and there he had sexually and physically assaulted her for hours.

They also found that, days before, the woman had suffered a miscarriage and a doctor ruled that this could have been due to the blows received, which were still evident throughout the woman's body.

Everything had happened in a country house in Pezuela de las Torres, a town of barely 800 inhabitants on the border between Madrid and Guadalajara.

The farm where the aggressor lived and where the victim had been kidnapped was isolated from other neighbors.

The victim had told them that, at a time when the man had left the property, he managed to get rid of the zip ties and escape to ask for help at a gas station near the house.

That same day, the agents requested judicial permission to enter and search the home, something that happened on the same afternoon of Friday the 26th. In addition to the dungeon, full of garbage, unsanitary, “with a lot of dirt and cluttered with objects,” as described the Civil Guard in a note, the agents found more zip ties, knives and a compressed air shotgun.

The criminalistics experts accessed the cell via narrow wooden stairs and verified that it was just as the victim had described it, a tiny underground room into which not even a bit of light entered.

On that same farm they arrested the aggressor when he returned.

The man had numerous records for crimes against public health, robberies and trafficking and was brought to justice in the Investigative Court Number 3 of Alcalá de Henares.

He is accused of sexual assault, illegal detention, injuries, physical and psychological abuse and against moral integrity.
