“Iran-backed Houthi rebels launched an anti-ship ballistic missile which was shot down by USSCarney,” Centcom said in a statement.
Shortly afterwards the same destroyer "shot down three Iranian drones" which were "nearby", it is added without specifying whether the aircraft were armed or not.
