E-books are practical.
Not just when traveling or on public transport.
With a few tricks you can legally read many titles for free.
Amazon is the first stop for many people when it comes to books.
Amazon was founded in 1998 and had around 900,000 book titles online in its founding year.
The number has grown many times over in recent years.
E-book readers have also been added.
In Germany, Amazon’s own “Kindle” and “Tolino” are the most widespread.
While prices, for example for hardcovers, continue to rise, there are completely legal ways to read a large number of e-books for free.
We'll show you how to get free e-books.

E-book readers are practical.
They are light and can be taken almost anywhere.
Hundreds of book titles, whether crime or non-fiction, can be stored on the device.
But purchases on mobile devices can cost money just as quickly.
One click is enough and the cash register at the connected retailer rings.
If you're a saver and would rather put aside a few euros and still read free e-books, try out the tips listed here.
Read free e-books: “Onleihe” from the libraries
Libraries are veritable cathedrals for books.
You can see the ten most beautiful in the world here.
With “Onleihe” you support local libraries, as
t-online
writes.
Even if it is not completely free, a large amount of literature can be found in the “ebookplus” offer.
For currently 10 euros per year, in addition to e-books, it also offers electronic magazines and audio books.
For the fee you will receive your library card at your local library, which also allows you to use other services.
Free e-books for Kindle and Co. from Amazon
While you have to rely on what your local library offers with “onleihe”, Amazon offers a wide range of free e-books for its Kindle users.
You can make your selection in the “Top 100 – Free” list in the Kindle Shop and download it to your device.
The list is the most popular purchases among Amazon users.
New titles are constantly being recorded here.
According to the website, the top 100 list is even updated hourly.
