Friendliness is not always the case with customers, including service.
This has now resulted in a notice being posted in a DHL branch.
Munich – There are many annoying situations at the post office.
For example, if the DHL courier doesn't bring the package to the front door even though the recipient is at home.
That's why many customers have to trudge to the branch and pick up their order there.
Of course, there are also reliable messengers who even answer customers, but the examples of wild parcel notes and delivery people are quite a few.
In a branch you can not only pick up your parcels, but also post shipments.
From small letters to large chunks.
The fact that things happen quickly and not every customer has enough patience is so often the case that a branch resorts to new means.
The employees now primarily attack unfriendly customers via notices and threaten them with horrendous price increases.
DHL note from the branch goes viral - customers too unfriendly with the standard letter?
A note is circulating on the reddit platform that shows the anger of the postal workers.
“Found in my mailroom,” says one user, without saying exactly where in Germany.
“New processing fees.
Throw the letter on the counter (and say nothing) .... 23.50.
Throw the letter on the counter and 'just' .... 22.50.
Throw the letter on the counter and “it has to go” .... 21.50” is written there.
The numbers without units probably indicate the prices.
A small letter for 23.50 euros?
That would be 22.65 euros too much, but the staff doesn't seem to care.
The employees at the post office immediately formulate the solution to the problem: “Hello, I would like to have the postage included or please add franking (+ standard letter placed on the counter) ... 0.85 cents and you get a smile for free.”
“It’s sad that this is necessary”: DHL customers discuss in the comments section
The Reddit community, which also liked a masking tape notice with nine exclamation marks, generally likes the idea.
This notice has already collected over 1,000 likes.
However, many people are bothered by the grammatical implementation.
“What are the points for?” one asks, another replies: “Oh yes, post office employee.
Famous for their exquisite politeness.” One user just wonders how they came up with these arbitrary prices.
And another person discovered the standard letter error: “0.85 cents is unbeatable.”
Customer experiences vary from branch to branch.
“I always put packages or letters on it and say: 'It should go'.
So far, the response has always been friendly and the shipping options and prices have been explained.” No matter which side of the counter you are on, everyone can agree that friendliness doesn’t hurt.
To round things off, two comments say: “It’s sad that this is necessary,” or also: “I feel it 100 percent.”
