The Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix will take place in Suzuka until at least 2029, the organizers of the world championship have announced.
Expiring this year, the contract that links F1 to the legendary Japanese circuit, one of the drivers' favorites, has in fact been extended for five seasons.
For the first time in its history, the Japanese GP, held in Suzuka since 1987 (except in 2007 and 2008 when it was raced on the Mount Fuji Circuit), will be held in spring and no longer in autumn.
The FIA has in fact decided to harmonize the calendar of the F1 world championship to reduce its environmental impact and the Japanese round, the fourth of the season, will therefore be organized at the beginning of April, between Australia and China.
