The shopping cart at Kaufland has a special plastic corner on the inside.
But what function does it have?
Many customers are puzzled, the shopping giant is dissolving.
When shopping, Lidl, Aldi and Kaufland customers always notice little things that are special.
Some time ago, at Kaufland, the plastic corner in the shopping cart caught the eye of an Instagram user, who promptly asked the other users what this particular corner was for.
A wild guessing game begins until Kaufland himself gives the answer and explains the function of the plastic corner in the shopping cart.
Customers are puzzling: What is the plastic corner on the Kaufland shopping cart for?
What's with the plastic corner on the inside front of the shopping cart?
Kaufland, which is currently throwing some products off its shelves, has introduced this corner, and there is a lot of discussion about it on the Internet.
So “Suffia Sebastiano” posts a video and asks his followers what the plastic part is for?
The users on Instagram then become very creative and let their speculations run wild.
“To drain the pasta” and “ashtray” are suggestions, but also: “If you just want a pickle from the jar, you can put it in there to drain.” Another user complains that it is the “shitty part that does that.” that no two crates of beer fit behind each other”.
But Kaufland explains the mystery himself – on YouTube.
Tip when shopping: use the corner in the Kaufland shopping cart
“We solved the mystery.
Did you know what the corner is for?” asks the supermarket giant in the title of the video.
Then an employee explains what the plastic corner in the shopping cart is all about.
In response to the video from “Suffia Sebastiano”, the Kaufland employee explains that there is now a “game changer” for the next purchase.
“So that you don’t lose the small things in your shopping cart the next time you make a big purchase,” explains the Kaufland employee.
Chewing gum, small packages of sweets, cosmetics, etc. find a place in the plastic corner, without larger grids through which they could slip.
A good idea that some customers will definitely have to get used to.
But a shopping cart like this has many tricks up its sleeve.
The shape of the shopping cart is considered a shopping trap.
At Aldi, however, the shopping cart is protected from theft.
