Not only food, but even tools end up in a Lidl customer's shopping cart.

When he sees his bill at the end, he is amazed.

Munich – Everyday shopping is a horror for many.

Especially with the constantly rising prices.

If you get more for your money than you actually expected, you can be very happy.

However, for one X user (formerly Twitter) it was so big that he really wanted to share it with the Internet.

Lidl customer is amazed at the amount on his bill

The customer proudly presents his discount store loot with a photo.

“26 euro purchase at Lidl,” writes the user, “I’m exhausted, I haven’t had that for a long time.”

And in fact, not all Lidl customers are apparently so satisfied with the discounter.

But the purchase probably wasn't that cheap.

Because the bargain hunter has to admit one thing to his followers straight away.

Immediately afterwards he uploads a photo of his receipt.

Lo and behold: 2.50 euros were deducted from his bill - for a redeemed Pfanbon.

“Okay, €2.50 deposit,” the user admits, “Still.”

It doesn't take long for a reaction to the happy post.

“Shopping is horror,” says another user.

But the Lidl customer apparently isn't letting this bring him down.

He's not a fan of shopping per se. “But today it was different,” he continues enthusing.

“So much food and tools for so little money, I was surprised.”

The other user obviously has little to counter such enthusiasm.

“That’s good,” she writes.

Nevertheless, she maintains her view on shopping: “I think shopping is terrible.

Everything is too expensive for me... and we are limiting ourselves.” The bargain hunter agrees.

But not without revealing his recipe for success to his follower: reading offers, using coupons – that is his method of choice.

And supermarket customers can use the help, because the new year got off to an expensive start.

Recently, the range at Lidl has not only caused joy, but also confusion.

Another customer had the question: Vegan products without a corresponding label - is that even possible?
