Collected a proud sum at the deposit machine?

Supermarket employees are apparently less happy about this.

A man reveals what's behind it.

Munich – 180 euros and 81 cents.

This impressive sum was raised by a supermarket customer who presented his deposit voucher online.

The photo excerpt shows that he mainly brought back disposable deposits.

At 25 cents per empty, that would be over 720 bottles.

Empties from his company that will be invested in new drinks, as his Reddit post says.

Is giving a lot of deposits anti-social?

Discussion develops under Bon-Post

A feat of strength at the deposit machine that at least paid off for the customer.

But of course not for others.

A discussion sparked in the comments under the post.

Does it really have to be necessary to return so much deposit at once?

“Really socially acceptable, blocking the deposit machine for hours at a time when families and working people have to shop,” writes one user ironically.

The receipt shows that the man was at the checkout at 5:48 p.m.

“Why do you accumulate so much deposit?” asks another.

Still others don't understand the hatred: “Everyone can do whatever they want, whether it's annoying for the workers or not doesn't matter.

He’s not hurting anyone with it.”

Supermarket employee reveals insider knowledge: Large quantities cause big problems

The supermarket staff gets one thing above all from the Monster return: a lot of work.

A user who says he has worked in several supermarkets complains about this.

Of course this cannot be verified, but his statements give no reason to doubt it.

He complains: “There are people sitting behind the fancy machines who have to sort the shit and change the plastic bags regularly.

Added to this is the transfer to Euro pallets and the complaining of all the people who have to wait.”

Commercial deposit returns?

A large deposit slip at the checkout can be problematic

Things can get really complicated at the checkout: “I've seen such people first have to prove that they aren't taking away a commercial deposit.

This will only make things even more difficult for the staff.”

Sure, it's his job, the user himself notes, but he hopes others can understand why mountains of deposits don't spark joy.

"I can tell you from experience that it's really a lot of fun to stand alone in the warehouse at 10:45 p.m. on a Thursday and sort bottles because such idiots can't give normal amounts of deposits." It is well known that supermarkets Employees with deposits can be difficult to keep busy.

This post is where the deposit discussion really gets going.

Some understand the supermarket employee, others think he shouldn't behave like that and do his job.

Still others are surprised that it is even possible to return such large amounts of deposits at once.

Maximize deposit returns: Is there an upper limit in the supermarket?

Basically, the maximum deposit return depends on the branch.

The supermarkets have house rules to determine how much deposit they accept.

Branches in rural areas often accept more bottles than small, busy markets in the city.

The Rewe market at Munich Central Station, for example, has an upper limit of ten bottles.
