  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp lime juice

Asian cabbage rolls:

  • 6 cabbage leaves (Chinese cabbage)

  • 100 g rice noodles

  • 500 g minced pork 

  • 100 g carrots, grated

  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 chili pepper, finely chopped

  • 10 g mint, finely chopped

  • 10 g coriander, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar 

  • 3 tbsp fish sauce

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

  • Black sesame (topping)

  • Mint (topping)

Preparation is easy thanks to these step-by-step instructions:

  • For the dip:

    In a small bowl, mix together rice wine vinegar, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, fish sauce and chili flakes.

  • For the roulades:

    Blanch the cabbage leaves in a large pot of boiling water for three minutes.

    Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions and then cut them into small pieces with scissors or a knife.

  • Mix the minced meat, carrots, garlic, chili, mint, coriander, sugar, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce and rice noodles.

  • Spread about one to two tablespoons of the filling on the lower third of each cabbage leaf and then roll up the leaf.

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the roulades over medium heat for five minutes per side until golden brown.

  • Pour the dip over the cabbage rolls, garnish with black sesame and mint to taste and enjoy!
