The farmers' protest also reaches the gates of Rome.

Some people with tractors converged this morning in Formello, a municipality north of the capital, and in Valmontone.

In Formello there are around 40 people with around twenty tractors and they are proceeding in procession escorted by the police.

At the moment there are no critical issues.

In Valmontone, however, the demonstrators with around twenty tractors are demonstrating in a static manner at the roundabout on Via della Pace, near the outlet.

"We have just left the police headquarters, the demonstration will take place. Monday evening after the meeting with the police headquarters because there are other inspections to be done but it will be done. We will communicate the date on Monday evening after 5. In Italy we will not do as in Brussels, not we've ever done it. This allowed us to get to Rome."

Thus Danilo Calvani, leader of the farmers, after the meeting at the police station in Rome for next week's demonstration.

"Green policies are devastating for our sector. Not so much as an internal concept but as policies that prevent us from producing. But they don't stop the free market that brings goods to Europe. The Green coridor made by various governments with the northern countries Africa. Coldiretti no longer represents us, this ruling class should be eliminated. Lollobrigida made Coldiretti govern, she makes the declarations that they make. However, the agricultural world has rebelled".

200 tractors marching in Sannio, solidarity from motorists

- There are around two hundred tractors marching from Benevento towards the Telesina Valley, the heart of Samnite viticulture, along the SS 372 "Telesina", which connects the Tyrrhenian Sea with the Adriatic.

The procession of vehicles, which grows along the route, started from the Rotonda dei Pentri of the Samnite capital, the site of the protestors' garrison for four days, to head, after traveling approximately 40 kilometres, to Telese Terme where - based on the agreed plan with the Benevento Police Headquarters - the tractors will exit and then return and follow the road backwards to reach Benevento again.

At the moment no accidents have been reported while there are inconveniences to road traffic for which alternative routes have been planned.

Contrary to what one might imagine, despite the inconvenience for motorists, the demonstrators are finding solidarity and understanding for the farmers engaged "in a battle that is not only for the agricultural world but for all Italians", as some elderly people claim they wanted to attend the tractor parade.

Farmers invade the Orte toll booth again

"We have to do what we came here to do."

Thus Antonio Monfeli, spokesperson for the farmers who arrived in Orte this morning, addressing the police forces present.

At 11am there were already more than 120 agricultural vehicles crammed into the square in front of the roundabout in front of the toll booth.

Then at 11.15 the long line of vehicles left to "camp" on the roundabout which, for days now, has become the scene of the protest.

"We will continue to demonstrate peacefully - continued Monfeli - but given the quantity of vehicles and people who arrived we will probably block the toll booth again."
