In the morning, the Trentino capital will welcome the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, on the occasion of the official inauguration of Trento, the European and Italian capital of volunteering in 2024. At the official ceremony, which will be held at 11.30 am at the "T daily Arena", over 1,200 volunteers and 400 students, together with representatives of provincial and regional institutions, valley communities and local authorities.
At the same time, a giant screen will be set up in Piazza Duomo to allow everyone to follow the ceremony live.
Many international guests will also take part in the event, including Andrij Sadovyj, Andriy Moshkalenko and Serhiy Kiral, respectively mayor and deputy mayors of Lviv, the city that competed for the title of European Capital of Volunteering together with Trento.
Representatives of all the European cities that have had the title in recent years were also sent.
