The death toll from a Ukrainian missile strike on a bakery in Lisichansk, in the pro-Russian separatist region of Lugansk, has risen to at least 20 dead and several injured.

This was reported by the Russian Ministry for Emergencies quoted by the Ria Novosti agency.

40 Russian drones over the Zaporizhzhia region 

Russian forces launched more than 130 attacks yesterday in the Zaporizhzhia region, in south-eastern Ukraine, hitting 19 settlements with 40 drones and artillery fire: the head of the regional military administration, Yuriy Malashko, reported on Telegram, according to as reported by Ukrinform.

“The invaders struck 131 times in 19 cities and villages of the Zaporizhzhia region, there are no casualties,” the message read.

Malashko added that Mala Tokmachka and Zaliznychne were hit with several rockets, while 40 drones were fired at Huliaipole, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Novodarivka, Levadne, Charivne, Chervone, Poltavka and Piatykhatky.

Additionally, the Russians carried out 88 artillery strikes on Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Levadne, Poltavka, Plavni, Lobkove, Stepove, Kamianske and other front-line settlements.

Damage to residential buildings and infrastructure was reported.

Twenty reporters stopped at a gathering of soldiers' wives in Moscow

At least twenty journalists, including some foreigners, were arrested in Moscow during a rally organized in Red Square by the wives of soldiers fighting in Ukraine and demanding the return of their husbands from the front.

An AFP video journalist arrested during this demonstration reported that around 20 to 25 journalists, including foreign reporters, were with him in a police van headed to a police station in the capital.
