In a letter addressed to the environment ministers of the European Union (EU), including Christophe Béchu, 42 animal protection associations denounce the “predominant role” of the EU in the “massive and uncontrolled importation” of wild amphibians from third countries.
“France is, by far, the largest consumer country in Europe,” underline the signatories of this letter written at the initiative of the NGO Robin des Bois.
