Kurt Hamrin, Swedish striker and all-time goalscorer in Fiorentina's history, died today at the age of 89.
The news was given by the Viola club, which through the words of president Commisso and the entire club "joins in the pain of the family and the entire world of football for the passing of Kurt Hamrin, legend of football and Fiorentina, of who holds the record for goals scored in the purple shirt."
Hamrin, nicknamed 'Bird', played for Fiorentina from '58 - the year in which he took part in the World Cup with his national team - to '67, scoring 151 goals, and with Milan from '67 to '69.
