When it comes to Bolognese, very few people think of Jägermeister.
But the combination is causing quite a stir on social media.
Munich – It originally comes from Italy, but it is also very popular in Germany – the Bolognese.
So why not incorporate a German classic into the Italian recipe, thought one person on social media.
The choice fell on Jägermeister, the recipe for the culinary adventure is now irritating the internet and going viral on the social media platform Reddit.
The creator of the post commented: “I don't know if this is satire or not, but I just had to share it.
The creator and people even unironically defended it in the comments." The caption of the video is "Jägermeister Bolognese.
Or: How to insult Germans and Italians.” Within a short time, almost 3,000 comments were collected on the post – with very different opinions.
Opinions on Jägermeister Bolognese vary: “It has nothing to do with Bolognese”
“This has nothing to do with Bolognese,” says one comment.
However, most people in the comments are not that strict.
After all, even the official Bolognese recipe was recently changed.
One person writes: “The only thing that annoys me is that he is generally bad at cooking.
He keeps adding it at the wrong times and doesn't let it evaporate." Another person responded with, "At least he mixed the pasta with the sauce.
That’s perhaps my biggest pet peeve with pasta.”
Others don't understand some people's "problem" with the recipe, with one comment saying: "He didn't ruin the pasta.
So I don't think the Italians will mind." Another user jokes: "Without the Jägermeister, it's a normal German spaghetti Bolognese.
The Romans didn’t call us barbarians for nothing.”
Alcohol is often used for cooking - some people are curious about Jägermeister Bolognese
Some people are even curious and can get something out of the recipe.
Alcohol is also found in many foods and is often used in cooking.
One person writes: "Alcohol is a flavor enhancer - Jägermeister may seem strange - but a splash of it along with spices might be fine.
Traditional?
Absolutely not – but I think it would taste good.”
