Comfort music: the writer Noam Horev and the composer Loren Feld together release "Tomorrow it will end" - which corresponds to the situation

For years the creator and writer Noam Horev, and the singer, composer and producer Loren Peled have been collaborating and working together on songs they created for many artists.

Today they release together "Tomorrow it will end", a new song written by Horev and composed by Peled, who also produced the music.

The song talks about a coming-of-age journey along the Israeli timeline, from the Gulf War to October 23.

The song is accompanied by a special music video in which powerful and inspiring women participate, who lost their loved ones in the various wars, including Miriam Peretz, Amit Parkash, Iris Haim, Naa Klein, Yael Gabbai, Nava Revivo, Natalie and Shir Hajabi, Shani Ishar, Sigal Cohen, Aliza Chen Pepo, Korel Gabbai, Tamar Samo and Shelly Shem-Tov, the mother of Omar, who was kidnapped from the party in Ra'i and is still being held in Gaza.

"October 7th, twenty-third, the pictures from the cover do not leave my mind, there is nothing sacred, the tears are still in my throat, my brother takes the uniform out of the closet, and only my mother still refuses to give up, tomorrow it will be over, tomorrow it will be over..." says the song, whose heroine is the mother figure who refuses to lose hope.

In a joint interview Horev and Peled tell how it all started and what has changed since Black Sabbath.

Noam:

"I remember the first days after October 7th. My partner was called up to the reserves that day and I found myself alone, with a lot of time to think, and in order not to go crazy with anxiety and worry I ran away to create. It filled that void in me, and at some point I came to a text I once wrote , called 'Tomorrow it will end', which was not at all intended for composition because it is long and narrative, not in a classical structure of stanza and chorus.

"It is not a standard text, and I thought that there is actually no such song in Israeli music, which comes to tell the coming of age story of our generation alongside the coming of age story of the country. I sent it to Lauren, I didn't think it would be possible to compose it, but I wanted him to read it, and later we also added the last stanza about October 7".

Loren:

"After October 7, I was at home, unlike Noam, I didn't think about creating and gathered within myself. For a long time, Noam and I didn't create together, and then Noam sent me the poem. I received it while I was at the piano at home, and while reading I actually started composing it. This It happened quickly, in a second everything connected to me and I immediately sent him a sketch. Noam's texts are like a friend to me, even if you haven't spoken in years - as soon as you meet everything is familiar."

The role of music and songs changed a lot in this war.

Noam:

"It starts between me and myself. It's not that I said, 'I'm going to encourage the people and write a text,' it starts from a very personal place, and the role of art and creation in this period is not only a therapeutic role, to strengthen, but also to set a mirror and perhaps ask questions that are not It's always fun to ask. And it exists here as well, and that's fine."

Lauren:

"If we had approached this at a different time, this song would not have happened, but we wanted to do something from the heart, without rules. We simply came to do something for ourselves in the hope that it would reach others as well."
