Farmers are ready for another week of protests, after they also mobilized on Sunday from Lombardy to Veneto, up to Lazio, Campania, Puglia and Sicily.

There were no serious traffic problems or accidents.

New protests are still being prepared in Veneto and Sicily, and the arrival of farmers in Rome is confirmed.

"Tomorrow evening we will give the date", said the leader of 'Cra Agricoltori traditi' Danilo Calvani.

The protests "continue throughout Italy, from North to South, and - he added - are expected for almost the whole week".

As for the divisions within farmers, Calvani recognizes the presence of some groups "linked to the government and Coldiretti", but states that the protest front is united: "we are not divided".

"We are on their side", said Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè, on the sidelines of the opening of the International Tourism Exchange in Milan.

"We absolutely must rediscuss the CAP, we must stay in Europe - she added - and make it clear that farmers are doing a very important job and must be helped".

The president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana is of the same opinion: "we are always at their side. We are aware that European rules go against them".

Five hundred tractors reached the center of Pavia, amidst horns, sirens and tricolor flags, with the applause prevailing over the protests due to traffic inconveniences.

"We contest the agricultural policies of the European Union, which put the entire primary sector at risk. We will continue with the protest", said the organizers, until "we are heard".

In Milan, about ten farmers reached Piazza Duomo with a cow and a calf, chanting slogans and blowing whistles, among curious tourists and Milanese.

Going down to the centre, the garrison in Orte is still active, with traffic slowdowns on internal roads, but not on the Autostrada del Sole.

From Orte the farmers made an appeal to Amadeus to host them at the Sanremo festival: "so we can tell all the spectators our reasons, peaceful but clear", they said in connection with the Agorà Weekend broadcast.

In Campania, the farmers of the Piana del Sele reached Battipaglia and, with their tractors, protested in front of the Pastena stadium.

The reasons for the protest are always the same: the cost of raw materials and fuel increases, while the products end up on the market at the same price.

In the Foggia area, farmers in permanent presence in Lucera distributed free vegetables and flour to explain the reasons for the protest to the population.

"We will remain under surveillance - they said - until we obtain certain and decisive answers from the European Union and the Italian institutions".

A few moments of tension in the Ennese area, when a garrison blocked the junction on the A19, Palermo-Catania, then the march of the tractors resumed and traffic returned to normal.

Meanwhile, protests are being organized for the next few days.

In Veneto, a procession of tractors is expected tomorrow morning in the center of Rovigo.

There are around 250 tractors preparing to leave for Rome from the province of Arezzo, headed for a new garrison in the Northern Rome area, in what they already call the 'march on Rome'.

They are united under the acronym 'Agricultural redemption'.

"We will reach Rome via the Via Cassia, the objective is to convey as many vehicles as possible", said one of the spokespersons, Andrea Papa. Finally, in Palermo, farmers are preparing for the "St. Valentine's Day demonstration", said Cateno De Luca, leader of 'South calls North'.

On February 14th they are preparing to arrive with tractors in the center of the city to "bump their fists" and "demand respect".
