These Americans call themselves the “army of God”.
Hundreds of protesters flocked to Texas in convoys of pickup trucks and caravans, to camp around border towns.
Their slogan: “Let’s take back our border”.
They want to denounce illegal immigration and show their support for former President Donald Trump.
“We are here to support our President Trump.
We are 100% for God and our country.
We believe our borders should be closed to people.
If they want to come, they can do so legally.
And what is happening right now will only destroy our nation in the future,” said Shonna Kirkes, a Texan who said she closed her business to be able to attend the rally.

The convoy ended its route on the banks of the Rio Grande.
This border area is at the heart of the news.
Thousands of migrants cross this river every month, looking for a better life in the United States.
The region is at the center of a legal and political battle between the Biden administration and Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
“He put up the barbed wire, the buoys and everything else.
And now Biden comes to tell him: “No, you can’t do that.” They want to take them away from us.
How are we going to protect ourselves?
Because once again, our government, Biden, is not doing the job,” said Trump supporter Marty Bird.
