Our economy has "demonstrated a remarkable capacity for resilience. We have signs in the last quarter and the beginning of 2024 of a modest recovery, but always higher than the European average".
The Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti said this at the presentation of the 2023 results of the Revenue Agency-Collection.
"The signals coming from employment are in some ways very comforting - he added - we are reabsorbing the phenomenon of unemployment".
On the fiscal delegation, "intended work" is underway with the legislative decrees: some have been made, "others will be made shortly and the high ambition of rewriting the tax system, which was in the government program, should be concluded by spring", added Giorgetti.
"There will be no persecution against those who have not complied, but in the normal practice of respecting the law and privacy we will try to find out why the taxpayer, faced with an interesting proposal, does not comply".
Deputy Minister of Economy Maurizio Leo said this when speaking about the two-year composition with creditors at the presentation of the 2023 results of the Revenue-Collection Agency.
"No witch hunt, but information on the reason for a misalignment", he reiterated.
