4 vegetable onions
200 g red pepper
350 g minced beef (this vegetarian alternative also works)
1 tsp salt
0.5 tsp pepper
1 teaspoon paprika powder, sweet
1 tsp marjoram
150 ml vegetable broth
50 ml whipped cream
40 g grated cheese
parsley, to taste

The stuffed onions with minced meat are quick to prepare:
Preheat the oven to 180 °C fan oven.
Peel the onions and just cut off the top and bottom.
Cook onions in boiling salted water for ten minutes until cooked through.
Allow to cool slightly and then press out the inside so that there is only an outer layer.
Finely chop half of the inside of the onion and cut the other half into wedges.
Wash the red pepper, halve it and dice some of it finely and cut the other part into fine strips.
Knead the minced meat well together with the finely chopped onions, diced peppers and spices (salt, pepper, paprika powder, marjoram).
Fill the hollowed out onions with the minced meat mixture and place in a baking dish.
Pour in vegetable broth and whipped cream.
Distribute the pepper strips and onion wedges in the liquid.
Finally, spread the grated cheese on the stuffed onions.
Bake the stuffed onions in the oven for about 40 minutes, until the minced meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Garnish the stuffed onions with chopped parsley and serve.
A slice of mixed rye bread goes well with this.
