"Eilat love back" ("Eilat loves back" - shouldn't there be an S in the word Love?) That's the name of the new campaign of the city of Eilat, which is trying to attract Israelis to vacation in its hotels in the weak and wintry month of February.
According to the campaign, the city of Eilat was the first to be willing to help evacuees from the south, and almost immediately afterwards also from the north, starting from the first day of the war and lovingly embraced tens of thousands of evacuees.
"The municipality and the residents of Eilat have mobilized on an unprecedented scale, and today they are inviting the residents of Israel to embrace Eilat back as part of a unique campaign, in collaboration with the Eilat Tourism Corporation - Eilat love back," reads the announcement on behalf of the tourism corporation.
According to the deal, Israelis who went on an airing holiday in Eilat, midweek during the month of February, will pay up to NIS 500 per couple per night and will receive NIS 300 for spending (cash back) for use in restaurants, attractions and stores.
The offer is for booking a minimum of two nights.

Among the association's hotels participating in the project: Dan Neptune, Dan Panorama, Astral Hotels, Brown Hotels, Yisrotel Red Sea and King Solomon Hotels, Fatal U Magic Palace, Leonardo Resort, Eurichidea, Reef, Jacob, Caesar and more.
The vacationers as part of the project will be on a bed and breakfast basis, which will allow the vacationers to enjoy Eilat's culinary offerings and thus strengthen local businesses.
The vouchers can be redeemed at over 250 Eilat businesses, including restaurants and cafes, bars and clubs, shops and commerce (not including supermarkets and pharmacies), attractions, beauty and spa and leisure activities.
As part of the project, guests of the city will receive three digital discount/purchase vouchers for a total of NIS 100 each to be redeemed at businesses participating in the project, during their stay in the city.
One of the three vouchers will be valid for restaurants.
The voucher must be redeemed in full.
The project will end on February 29, 2024 at midnight.

"The project is the Eilat municipality's way of operating on two levels. Also to support local businesses, with waste budget funding for each booking, which will only be valid for the vacation period, and also to provide satisfying and rewarding vacation experiences to everyone who comes to the city at a time when we all need to ventilate," the tourism corporation's statement reads Eilat.
In February, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, including the "101 Experiences, Eilat One Zero Shekels" initiative, which offers visitors a variety of experiences they can join, such as sailing in the Red Sea, an electric bike trip in the desert, culinary tours, a rowing session in Sap and much more, all for free payment.
The culture in the city is also waking up and allowing for some respite, and in February there will be a winter jazz weekend in a special format for the period, on the dates 22-24.2, with the best artists of Israel and the world alongside acoustic performances in businesses (open free of charge). On the dates 15-16.2 there will be a street theater on the Eilat promenade and Shabbat reception on the beaches.
