Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called a rocket attack by Ukrainian forces in which a bakery was hit on Saturday in Lisichansk, in the pro-Russian separatist Lugansk region of eastern Ukraine, a "monstrous terrorist act".
According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, quoted by TASS, "the ministry workers rescued 10 people. Unfortunately, 28 people, including a child, died", we read in a statement
The advisor to the Ukrainian mayor of Mariupol in exile Petro Andriushchenko has denied Russian statements according to which the Kiev army hit a bakery in Lisichansk, in Lugansk: "It's another fake by the Russians, the attack was against a restaurant in where collaborators of the enemy were located, he stated."
Meanwhile, a representative of the self-proclaimed Lugansk republic told Russian media that
Emergency Minister Aleksey Poteshchenkoi was killed in the attack on the restaurant.
Russian media reported the news of Poteshchenkoi's death.
