Highlights: Security forces used tear gas this morning to disperse an opposition demonstration outside the Senegalese parliament. Two tear gas grenades were fired to disperse a group of several dozen people shouting "Macky Sall dictator", the name of the president. Yesterday the head of state announced the postponement of the presidential elections which should have been held on February 25th. The demonstration took place shortly before the start of a debate on the postponing of presidential elections in Senegal. The demonstrations took place in front of the parliament building in Dakar.

Security forces used tear gas this morning to disperse an opposition demonstration outside the Senegalese parliament shortly before the start of a debate on the postponement of presidential elections.

Two tear gas grenades were fired to disperse a group of several dozen people shouting "Macky Sall dictator", the name of the Senegalese president.

Yesterday the head of state announced the postponement of the presidential elections which should have been held on February 25th.
