Shocking accident for Sofia Goggia, and in sight there is a long stop with the compromise of the season, as well as of the Downhill World Cup for which the Italian leads the general classification.
In the fall on the Ponte di Legno track during training, the Bergamo native suffered a fracture of the tibia and malleolus of her right leg.
Goggia was transported by helicopter to Milan, where tests confirmed the diagnosis.
The surgical operation was immediate.
