British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wrote this on X following Buckingham Palace's announcement of King Charles' cancer diagnosis.
The politics of the United Kingdom is closing in on its sovereign: Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer wished the king "all the best for his recovery", on behalf of the party.
"We look forward to seeing him return to full health."
The Scottish First Minister also wished him "the best for a speedy recovery", and the First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O'Neill, said she was "very sorry" for the cancer diagnosis "and I want to wish him all the best in his treatment and a complete and rapid recovery."
Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford said he was "saddened to hear the news", sending his best wishes.
