Sarah Jodoin of Maria, after the Olympic card with access to the semifinals, is fifth in the final from the platform, on the fourth day of the 21st World Diving Championships at the Hamad Aquatic Center in Doha.
It is the best placing ever achieved by an Italian in a 10m world championship.
The 23-year-old Italian Canadian - registered with the Navy and MR Sport F.lli Marconi and coached by Tommaso Marconi - finished in 322.15 and without regrets for a podium, to date, unapproachable.
In front are the Chinese Quan Hongchan with 436.23 and Chen Yuxi with 427.80.
The bronze goes to the British-born Italian Andrea Spendolini with 377.10.
