The Druze settlements in the north are being revitalized in a big way: The sub-committee for the plans for the Druze and Circassian settlements in the Galilee and the Golan of the North District Committee, headed by Eran Nitzan, announced today (Tuesday) that it approved two huge plans for the deposit in the Druze settlements of Paki'in and Buqa'ata.

In the settlement of Buqaata in the north of the Golan Heights

, the committee decided to submit a plan for the establishment of a new residential neighborhood.

The plan promoted by the initiative of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and designed by a planning team led by Eran Mbel, covers a total area of approximately 250 dunams, and is located in the southwest of the settlement.

The plan includes the construction of approximately 420 housing units.

In addition to the housing units, the plan includes the arrangement of a new transport entrance to the settlement, as well as the plan to build a new building for the local council and a farmers' market.

In addition, the plan allocates about 45 dunams of open public areas, of which about 18 dunams will be allocated for the establishment of a central park that will serve the residents of the settlement.

In the settlement of Paki'in

, the district committee decided to deposit a plan for the construction of two new residential complexes that include about 1,100 new housing units, of which about 290 are on state land.

The plan that was promoted at the initiative of the Paki'in local council and the planning administration, is the first plan approved for the advanced deposit in accordance with the overall outline plan of the settlement.

The uniqueness of the plan is in the creation of a diverse building texture that connects the parts of the settlement, which are currently separated, in accordance with the character of the settlement and the unique landscape in the area.

The first complex includes about 800 new housing units that will be built in residential buildings of up to 4 stories, and is a continuation of the settlement's veterans' neighborhood.

As part of the plan, a central axis will be established, along which areas for public buildings, sports and commerce will be integrated.

In addition, about 12 dunams will be allocated for the expansion of the joint industrial zone of Paki'in and Kasra Samia.

The second complex offers about 300 new housing units that will be built in residential buildings of up to 3 stories, which will be integrated into agricultural areas.

This, in order to maintain traditional agriculture in the settlement.
