Do you like your bedroom to be cozy and tidy?

With a few simple rules when tidying up, things become a little easier.

It can be nice and cozy in the bedroom.

Those who ensure the necessary basic order in the household generally feel much more comfortable.

Of course, a lot of things accumulate at home over time.

And it's not always easy, for example, to get rid of items of clothing that you used to enjoy wearing and that are now just taking up space in your dresser.

There may also be books on the nightstand next to the bed that have long since been used, or memorabilia in the drawer that you want to keep but haven't picked up for a long time.

1. Three-box method for more order at home

In such cases you can use the so-called three-box method.

Sorting things into the different boxes is very simple: items that can actually be disposed of go into one box.

In the next box you put everything that you either still need or want to give away or sell, for example.

Box number three, on the other hand, contains all the cherished objects and memories that you actually want to keep forever - these could be photos, letters or other personal treasures, for example.

So if you have a basic order in the bedroom and nothing is lying around there that has actually been bothersome for a long time, you generally feel much more comfortable.

2. Handles for more cleanliness in the bedroom

When tidying up in the bedroom, you can think of a few simple steps and, for example, don't constantly leave your clothes hanging over the chair, but simply put them in the closet.

Anyone who shakes out pillows and blankets when they get up in the morning and drapes them neatly will be happy to find a bed made in the evening.

And you shouldn't just change the bed linen regularly, you should also be a little more thorough when cleaning so that dust and dirt don't accumulate.

This includes regularly wiping the bed frames and boxes with a damp cloth.

You should also regularly wipe lamps and light switches with a damp cloth, as well as the door and window handles in the bedroom.

A simple rule also helps when cleaning your apartment.

3. Use your wardrobe or chest of drawers correctly in the bedroom

A look into the wardrobe shows who keeps order behind the facade.

It's a little easier to do this by using mobile boxes or drawers made of fabric that have plenty of space in your closet.

Then, for example, you can more easily separate your underwear into socks etc.

And you can sort the clothes into different categories, which is certainly a little easier in a chest of drawers with several drawers.

If you want to completely sort out individual items of clothing in your closet from the rack, you can also use the “three second rule” when cleaning out your closet.

Shoes belong in a separate shoe cupboard in the hallway and towels in the bathroom.

If you have emptied and organized your wardrobe in the bedroom, it will be easier to search for clothes.

What else applies to cleaning?

On the inside and outside surfaces, it should be sufficient to vacuum your wardrobe approximately every three months and then wipe it out with a damp cloth.

Of course, you have to take out all your clothes first and then put them back again.

It's best to do this in batches.

Dust also collects on the wardrobe, so vacuum it regularly and, if possible, wipe the outside walls of your wardrobe with a damp cloth.
