He is accused of being the author of a letter, containing death threats, addressed to the then Prosecutor of the Republic of Catanzaro Nicola Gratteri, now head of the Naples Prosecutor's Office, and to a deputy prosecutor of Salerno whose identity was not disclosed.
A man, Salvo Gregorio Mirarchi, was arrested by the Salerno and Catanzaro Flying Squads on charges of threatening a public official, aggravated by the mafia method.
The arrest was made in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of Salerno at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the city of Campania.
