Don't use too much water and especially cold water
In order to enjoy the view of the tulips for as long as possible, you also have to be careful with the water in the vase.
First of all, you shouldn't use too much water, a water level of five centimeters is sufficient.
In addition, you should only change the water when it becomes cloudy, otherwise it is sufficient to add a little more liquid every day.
The temperature is also crucial.
Tulips like cold water, so make sure the water is not too warm.
Tulips like it cool
Similar to water, tulips do not tolerate temperatures that are too high.
You should therefore make sure that the flowers are kept as cool as possible, at least overnight.
Otherwise, you run the risk of the tulips wilting in just a few days.
Whether houseplants survive for a long time also depends on proper care.
There is a widespread opinion that their leaves should be cleaned with beer - that's what's behind it.
Wrapping in paper as an insider tip
If your tulips start to droop, there is still a chance to save them.
To do this, take the tulips out of the vase and cut evenly along the stem.
Then tie the tulips together and wrap them tightly in paper.
Now place the tulips in the vase filled with cold water for a few hours.
Little by little the flowers should stand up again.
