Lisa has dreamed of making films since she was little.
Having put her sporting career aside, the girl now works as a runner on a film set, starting a relationship with Sonja, star of the film.
But the actress has a dark past that comes back to knock on her door.
It is the action thriller Runner, directed by Nicola Barnaba and starring Matilde Gioli and Francesco Montanari, in Italian cinemas from 8 February, distributed by Plaion Pictures.
In the cast alongside the two protagonists, also Federico Tocci, Ilenia Calabrese, Saverio Malara, Vincenzo Scuruchi, Flora Contrafatto and Hana Vagnerova.
Produced by Camaleo, made with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture and with the support of the Calabria Film Commission Foundation, Runner is an action thriller made entirely by Italian workers, unique in its genre and inspired by the best tradition of action films of the Eighties - like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard - making its absolute protagonist Lisa, an unstoppable heroine, played by Matilde Gioli (Doc – In Your Hands, The Golden Men).
Alongside her, Nastro d'argento Francesco Montanari (Romanzo Criminale – The series, Dolceroma), who returns to the cinema with a character that dances between cynicism and irony, recalling some of her most iconic roles.
