The President of Argentina Javier Milei has confirmed his intention to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

He said this, according to a note from the Foreign Ministry, as soon as he arrived in Israel, welcomed by the head of foreign affairs Israel Katz.

''I want to thank you - said Katz - for having recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and for now announcing the transfer of the Argentine embassy to Jerusalem, the capital of the Jewish people and of the State of Israel''.


    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extends ''a warm welcome'' to Argentine President Javier Milei and welcomes his announcement regarding the transfer of the Argentine embassy to Jerusalem.

This was announced in an official statement.

''The Prime Minister - continues the statement - had spoken about it with President Milei after his election and is pleased that he has kept his promise''.

Netanyahu will meet Milei tomorrow and - the statement specifies - on that occasion ''he will discuss the further strengthening of relations between the two countries''.
