 The small and medium publishing fair Più libri liberi arrives in Venice with the cycle of three meetings Più libripiù Laguna which will start on February 16th with Zerocalcare.

The internationally successful Italian cartoonist will be in conversation at 6.00 pm at the Teatrino in Palazzo Grassi with the writer Chiara Valerio, curator and manager of the fair's program.


    More free books project in collaboration with Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana and Libreria Marco Polo, the new initiative is part of Più libri all year round, the series of previews of the fair born in 2023 to give an increasingly greater voice to small and medium-sized Italian publishing through Rome and beyond, with Italian and foreign authors.


    All the Più libri Più Laguna meetings will be hosted in the Teatrino of Palazzo Grassi.

After his debut in 2011 with 'La profezia dell'armadillo', Zerocalcare has signed numerous illustrated books and important reportages which have become cartoons, achieving great public success thanks also to the successful Netflix series 'Tear along the edges' (2021) and the subsequent 'This World Won't Make Me Bad' (2023).


    At the end of the meeting, Zerocalcare will create for the public his famous "firmadillo", his original firmacopie, of his latest publication 'Enciclopædia Calcarea', published like the other books by Bao Publishing.


    The next scheduled appointments are Monday 27 May with Lorenzo Gasparrini and 6 June with Rosi Braidotti, who will conclude the cycle.


    The event has free entry upon mandatory reservation on the website www.palazzograssi.it starting from 5 February 2024.


    A limited number of places are reserved for holders of the Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana Membership Card.


    The next edition of Più libri liberi, will be held from 4 to 8 December 2024 at the Nuvola dell'Eur in Rome, promoted and organized by the Italian Publishers Association.
