Mobilization has diminished significantly.
Teachers are on strike again this Tuesday to defend salaries and oppose educational policy at the college.
According to figures from the Ministry of National Education, only 3.2% have followed this movement, a far cry from the mobilization of last Thursday.
In detail, the strike was observed by only 0.35% of primary school teachers and 9.52% of middle school teachers.
4.79% of general high school teachers went on strike and 3.04% in vocational high schools.
A demonstration is planned for 2 p.m. in Paris, leaving from Place de la Sorbonne (5th arrondissement), towards the Ministry of Education.
More broadly, the Sud Éducation, Unsa Éducation, FSU, Sgen-CFDT and CGT Éduc'action unions called for a “week of actions from February 5 to 9”.
Amélie Oudéa-Castéra heard by deputies
In the sights of the unions: the application for the next school year of the “shock of knowledge” reforms, announced by Gabriel Attal when he was Minister of Education - before his departure to Matignon - to raise the level of students , and in particular the establishment of level groups in French and mathematics in 6th and 5th grade classes.
The official texts to implement this measure will be presented Thursday to the Higher Council of Education (CSE, consultative body bringing together the educational community).
