Ilaria Salis' Hungarian lawyer, Gyorgy Magyarto, tells ANSA.
"Ilaria is a proud anti-fascist who does not want to flee and the judge can be convinced in this sense", he added, specifying that "house arrest in Budapest, from the point of view of the defense's work, would be the best solution" in a a process that promises to be long, with the next hearing at the end of May and the next not before "September".
The lawyer, who supports the defense in the trial at the Municipal Court of Budapest, explained that he understands the reasons of the accused, her family and the Italian lawyers, to let her return to Italy
but, according to him, precautionary surveillance under house arrest in his country would make defense work more difficult.
"It would be better to look for a safe home in Budapest, accepted as such by the Hungarian judiciary and police, with the guarantee of an electronic bracelet against 'the risk of escape'
