The crimes of sexual violence and rape committed by Hamas terrorists in the terrorist attack of October 7 are coming to the screen, in a new and particularly intriguing documentary.

The film, tentatively titled "Yes, Things Were Ever," will be directed by award-winning documentary director and journalist Benoît Beringer of France ("The Rise of Wagner," "The Caviar Connection," and more).

This is a joint international production by Federation Studios and Anani Studio that will focus on Hamas's use of rape and sexual terrorism as a weapon of war, and on the physical, emotional and psychological traumas of the attacked and the attacked, this against the background of attempts to deny in the world that these things never happened.

The film will investigate cases of sexual violence, in particular against women, that were reported and documented by various means - both at the "Nova" festival and in kibbutzim and settlements surrounding Gaza, and will follow the victims' long journey towards recovery.

About the film, Beringer said: "Following the events of October 7, a persistent pursuit of the truth began in Israel - a task of historical importance to independently document what took place, especially towards women, during this day of terror. This project will accompany the complex journey to establish the facts and raise awareness around the world for the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war."

Orly Atlas-Katz, CEO of Anani Paramount, said: In times like these, Studio Anani brings Israeli stories and creators to viewers in Israel and around the world. Nothing prepared us for the disaster that happened on October 7, which left countless victims in body and soul, whose voices are silenced and whose stories are not will be heard forever."

"To raise awareness around the world".
