The promo, which hinted that this might be a season that is getting out of control, started with a storm in the US on the day Larry David was a guest on a morning show and choked the Elmo doll. Four minutes into the episode I wished I was Elmo myself and that someone would end my life already. By the middle of the episode I was already busy calculating how much half an hour is worth of my life, with a willingness to close on 30 shekels that Larry David will pay me back.
At the end, I reflected on the question of whether Larry David, being Jewish, scans reviews of his masterpiece series in Israel and whether I am now screwing this dear Jew who changed comedy.
But "calm down" did not start well.
A grumpy snoozer who is bothered by everything has always worked for her, but one who tries to cram 3,900 grumps into almost half an hour, each of which causes the screams of a butcher's parrot, is already a public nuisance.

Maybe it's because in these days of plucking nerves we have no patience for the pettiness of people in general, but at least according to the opening shot it seems that the writing genius took out of the garbage can in the room all the old ideas and pasted them into the script.
If this is the first episode of the finale season - we are in trouble.
The problem with "calm down" was not only the oppressive pace.
Even in the humorous situations, the beginning of obsolescence was noted: the first episode opens with a scene where our star is sitting in a car and tries to ask Siri to reach the address, but she, as original and surprising as it is, does not understand what he is saying and offers him other options.

It is true that in every season there are masterpiece episodes and episodes that can be skipped, but the feeling is that in the show of the only active representative left of global Jewish humor, whole scenes suddenly looked similar to the old Benny Hill show, only without the fast gears and with screaming and talking.
