"Compared to last year, in these first 4 and a half months we have recorded an increase of 111% in acts of violence committed by parents and relatives" towards school staff.
"While violent acts committed by students are slightly decreasing, -11%. There is a growing disconnect between family and school."
This was said by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, connecting remotely with the Apulian school directors.
The minister added that the alliance between parents, families and the world of school must be "reconstituted: we must start a battle that is first and foremost cultural".
