In just a few seconds, a woman managed to steal the car of a Marion County, Florida, sheriff's office deputy and sped away, causing a crash, killing herself and two other people.
The scene occurred on February 1 while deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office were responding after being alerted to an attempted theft of car keys in Silver Springs, Florida.
“The person who alerted us was a woman, and the person who was trying to steal the keys was a woman,” county sheriff Bill Woods explained at a press conference.
One of the deputies, who was alone in his vehicle, got out of his car to speak to the young woman.
She then rushed into the police officer's SUV, slipping through the passenger side window, before getting behind the wheel.
The deputy tried to get her out but the woman stormed off.
