The “Mob Wife” which means “mafioso’s wife” in French is becoming a very prominent clothing style on social networks.
Gold chains, fur, sunglasses, and voluminous blow-drying, the style is inspired by famous gangster films like “The Godfather”, “Goodfellas”, “Scarface” and The Sopranos.
The hashtag #mobwifeaesthetic has already had more than 178 million views in just a few weeks.
Even the legendary Francis Ford Coppola didn't miss out on the trend.
The “Godfather” director commented on it, comparing it to the style of one of the characters in his trilogy on his Instagram account.
He describes Connie Corleone's appearance as that of "a sensual and charming Italian princess."

The “Mob Wife” proudly displays her wealth, unlike other trends that exploded on the networks in 2023. Like the “Clean Girl”, for example, who valued simple, natural makeup and minimalist hairstyle.
