"We accept the proposal of the artistic director of the Sanremo Festival Amadeus who proposed to welcome a delegation of farmers on the Ariston stage".
this is what the national coordination of Riscatto agricultural - one of the movements leading the farmers' protest - states in a note, announcing that "a delegation of around 15 tractors will leave from the Melegnano garrison this evening around 8pm and will reach Sanremo during the night".
The farmers' representation, the movement continues, will bring with them the Italian flag "with which we ask to be able to go up on the stage of the Ariston theater and indirectly".
To the Festival, adds Riscattoagricoltura, "we will bring our concerns, our fears and our efforts, to briefly illustrate the reasons for the great mobilization of young Italian farmers, to continue to hope in the future of our agriculture and determined to continue the teachings of our parents and our grandparents".
Another announcement comes from Danilo Calvani, leader of another protest movement, the CRA Agricoltori traditi, according to which the demonstration scheduled for next week in Rome "could be held at the Circus Maximus".
An appointment, he claims, at which "thousands of vehicles" including restaurants and trucks are expected and at which there must be no "flags of parties, unions or politicians".
