From this year onwards, separated parents will have to expect higher maintenance costs.
This can be between 516 and 732 euros more per child per year than in 2023. According to a report by the German Press Agency (dpa), this is pointed out by the

Düsseldorf table 2024 – increased requirement rates
Maintenance is calculated individually for each specific case.
However, family courts are guided by the guidelines of the Düsseldorf table, which the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court regularly updates with the German Family Court Day.
Because of inflation, the minimum maintenance there has now been increased by 9.7 percent, as the German Press Agency (dpa) further reported.
It depends on the age of the child.
Accordingly, the minimum maintenance from this year is:
for children under six years 480 euros per month
for six to eleven year olds 551 euros
from 12 years 645 euros
and from 18 years at least 689 euros.
The minimum rates then increase with each income group of the parent liable for maintenance.
The requirements for underage children have increased.

Increase in deductible
With the increase in the minimum maintenance, the income groups were also adjusted, as well as the personal needs of the parent who has to pay.
“The latter is 1,450 euros for working parents and 1,200 euros for non-working parents,” informed the
Bavarian Income Tax Aid
in its announcement (as of January 30, 2024).
