Al Jazeera says a series of explosions took place across Baghdad, and security sources say a drone strike targeted a car and killed three people.
"A drone strike targeted a car east of the capital and, according to security sources, at least three people were killed," Al Jazeera's Baghdad correspondent reported.
"We do not know the identity of the people killed, whether they were civilians or affiliated with armed factions that the United States blamed for the attacks on US bases," he added.
A security source who requested anonymity said the vehicle was carrying "a leader of Hashdal-Shaabi", a coalition of former paramilitaries integrated into the regular forces and bringing together pro-Iranian armed groups.
