The first evening of this edition of Sanremo saw luxurious and designer elegance like that worn by the two hosts Amadeus and Marco Mengoni, with tuxedos and handmade suits, by the big names in fashion.
25 precious tuxedos are signed by Gai Mattiolo as regards the artistic director, including one embroidered with 60 Svarowski crystals.

Then he wore a crystal mesh top by Atelier Versace, the burgundy red leather suit also by Versace.
Then he switched to a red silk cape from Valentino, designed for him by Pierpaolo Piccioli, paired with a red rose shirt over tailored trousers.
And then again he showed off a white shirt and trousers, also by Valentino, which looked like jeans, but were actually made of gazar and embroidered with 500 thousand glass pearls, dyed in indigo, for a trompe-l'oeil effect.
Finally he dared to wear a leather suit by Fendi consisting of a jacket and skirt.
Negroamaro debuted last night in Sanremo with custom-made black looks by Paul & Shark inspired by water, a theme that recurs in all their songs.
But the most significant performance dress of yesterday, that is, one that is in tune with the lyrics of the song, was that of Dargen d'Amico;
a black, formal suit by Moschino, with a tie, but with a Teddy Bear stole on the shoulders, inspired by the headdress designed by Franco Moschino in 1988, a clear reference also to the lyrics of Dargen's song: the teddy bears represented the little victims who pay the highest price of war, the children who lose their lives in the sea during crossings in an attempt to reach a safer land, as sung in the lyrics of Dargen's song, Onda alta.
And then the white lace dress, designed by Luisa Spagnoli and worn by Fiorella Mannoia, fitting perfectly with the song Mariposa.
A bridal look worn barefoot, the meaning of which is linked to female pride that wants to celebrate women in all their roles, whether they are brides or otherwise: "I am the witch at the top of the pyre, A butterfly holding the rifle, A queen without a throne, A crown of orange and thorns, I am a flame among the waves of the sea, I am a bride above the altar."
