For a handful of seconds, Friends fans will be able to dream of seeing Ross and Rachel together again.
However, they will be left with a bad taste in their mouths due to a forgetful Jennifer Aniston.
Among the many commercials that will be broadcast during the 58th edition of the Super Bowl which will take place on February 11th in Las Vegas, there is one whose protagonists are Aniston and David Schwimmer, the two actors who played Rachel Green and Ross Geller in the famous series which aired from 1994 to 2004.
Bringing the two actors back together is Uber Eats, Uber's online food ordering and delivery platform, whose advertising message is to push the public to use the home delivery service and therefore plays on the 'rememberment' factor.
"Jen! Hey," Schwimmer says in the commercial.
"We know each other", replies Aniston. "Give me some ideas", she continues. "We worked together for ten years", explains Schwimmer. The actress pretends to remember but he realizes that in reality he has a lapse in memory. Then Aniston walks away and mutters, “Like I forgot ten years of my life.” “I hate this town,” quips Schwimmer.
The full commercial also features Victoria and David Beckham, both of whom struggle to remember the name of the Spice Girls, and rapper Jelly Roll, who doesn't remember how tattoos ended up on his face.
