Highlights: Ceferin surprise, "I won't run again in 2027" - Football.co.uk. President announces that he will not run for a fourth term (ANSA) Aleksander Ceferin became president of UEFA in 2016. The Slovenian leader became president in 2016, but will not be able to run for another term. The UEFA Congress opens today in Nyon, Switzerland. The first session of the Congress will be held at 1.02pm. The second session will take place at 2.00pm.

This surprise announcement came shortly after the vote of the Congress which approved an amendment to the statutes, giving the Slovenian leader, who became president in 2016, the possibility of running again in 2027 for a fourth presidency.
