It's the return of school holidays in a delayed zone and traffic jams on the motorway.
After the All Saints' Day and end-of-year holidays common to the whole country, the February school holidays kick off the winter holidays for the entire zone C which includes the academies of Paris, Versailles, Créteil, Toulouse and Montpellier.
Many motorists will therefore take the road, mainly in the direction of ski resorts.
This weekend also marks the start of the school holidays for the southern area of the Netherlands and the Carnival holidays for Luxembourg.
This Friday is thus classified orange by Bison futé in Île-de-France and in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in the direction of departures.
The next day, most of the east of the country is affected by orange vigilance on the roads with the Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions.
